Two out of Three disappointing at Wolverhampton

Standpoint was the easiest winner to find on the Wolverhampton card this evening and qualified as a 'Speed and Class' selection at 5-6 earlier today. Backed up by The Actuary P&G ratings (below) winning comfortably at an SP of 8-15

Standpoint_pg

A totally inexplicable run from Brenin Taran given the level of consistency show since his return. No surprise with Lesley's Choice being the danger but for Brenin Taran to tamely fade to last would suggest a re-occurrence of old problems.

Emphatically the better horse on P&G ratings Bartolomeu cruised to success in the 8:25 to end a great day for the ratings!

The Actuary highlights two P&G winners at 8-1 and 15-2

Probably much underutilized by Subscribers of The Actuary Horse Racing Tips, the P&G ratings once again throw up two nice priced winners at 8-1 and 15-2 at Kempton Park. Not every race comes up with a definitive view or selection but those that stand out are always highlighted in red.

The first Refractor at 8-1 who had got loose before the start. During the race Refractor cruised through the race and as the P&G figures suggested was ahead of the game in this company and had twice produced figures in excess of those expected. Unfortunately this was at odds with the 'On The Money' selection Beat Route who ran a disappointing race after being backed from 8-1 to 5-1

Refractor_pg

In the very next race Flying Trader and Henry Buckle looked equally inviting with the foremost having figures that showed a degree of consistency. This time at odds with a 'Speed and Class' selection in Spanish Wedding who was heavily backed and halved in price to 5-2.

Hopefully this bodes well for our 'Speed and Class' selection in the 7:55 which is endorsed by the P&G figures.

Gallantry Actuary Top Course and Distance wins at 25-1

The Actuary course and distance rating prove favourable in finding 25-1 winner Gallantry in the 2:15 Kempton Park. With only Having A Ball and Gallantry showing favourable ratings right-handed over a mile at Kempton Park the draw was always likely to make the 0.1% difference between the two a lot more decisive. With Having A Ball drawn 13, Gallantry drawn 4 was able to get a prominent sit with little to no effort and took up the running turning for home to score at 25-1

Top Rated and Starred - 26th April 2012

Raul De Silva got a nice sit throughout alongside the lay of the day Aldedash in fourth and once asked to produce in a matter of strides put enough daylight between himself and the closers to score here for the fourth time. Pace and Going - 26th April 2012

Horse Racing Tips: The Actuary Pace and Going figures highlighted three good potential opportunities yesterday. The first two won well but the third of the three was a real disappointment.
There was little surprise in seeing Country Road rule here but I am not sure I would have wanted to take the 5-4 SP given the form figures of Overrule and Beat The Ref being unknown quantities on this surface.

Country_road_pg
Land Hawk retrospectively looked a snip at 6-1 and plenty of 8-1 was available earlier. Not so much due to the strength of his figures but more the weakness of the oppositions.

Land_hawk_pg

And finally for the biggest disappointment of the day. Having helped myself to plenty of 13-2, the 7-2 just before the off looked like there had been some serious money placed. It certainly wasn't apparent when watching the race but the time record was the second slowest on the card beaten only by the Class 5 2yo Maiden that kicked the meeting off.

Elijah_pepper_pg

Speed and Class selection Red Cape (7-4) wins eased down!

Horse Racing Tips: The Actuary's first of today's three selections Red Cape made easy work leading from pillar to post in Wolverhampton's 2:20. In a depleted field of 5 due to Catalyse and Eyes On being declared non runners, the 'Speed and Class' selection advised at 7-4 had the field of the bridle for the final three with James Sullivan having to do no more than shake the reigns to send Red Cape clear.

Speed and Class - 25th April 2012

Horse Racing Tips subscribers got the Kempton Park evening meeting of to a fine start with Choral a decisive winner of the 6:20 at an SP of 7-2. The Speed and Class selection showed both qualities in this grade from a hand and heels ride from Ryan Moore which saw Choral sprint clear in the final furlong for a bloodless victory.

The Actuary - 25th April 2012

Horse Racing Tips subscribers to The Actuary had a squeaky bum moment in the 8:25 Kempton. Selection Passion Play advised at 8-1 drawn 7 of 8 was given licence to dictate the pace but was being punched along by Jim Crowley with 4 furlongs of the 1 mile and half trip still to cover. As they raced down the straight it looked liked Passion Play was going to be swamped but almost like a penny arcade horse racing machine they came and faded leaving Passion Play re-asserting by a widening margin in the last half furlong to score at a an SP of 4-1. Another reminder to take the early prices with BOG Bookmakers guys!

Pace and Going - 25th April 2012

Horse Racing Tips: After the withdraw of Four Better 7:55 there was only one strong contender from The Actuary Pace and Going ratings yesterday. Choral in the 6:20 appeared to have only  one serious danger in Avonrose.

Choral_pg

Choral also The Actuary Speed and Class selection won cosily at 7-2 but the inconsistency of Avonrose was on show beating only 2 home.

Pace and Going - 24th April 2012

Horse Racing Tips: The stand outs for The Actuary Pace and Going ratings duly obliged yesterday starting with Bawaardi (5-2) who had to grind out a win against Unlimited in the 2:50 Wolverhampton at an SP of 7-4. The figures view suggesting Unlimited would chase Bawaardi home also came to fruition.

Bawaardi_pg

Only Ten Per Cent (11-10) in the 8:10 was the stand out on the Southwell card. Available at 11-10 for most of the morning returned and won like a 4-7 shot. Only Bonnie Prince Blue looked likely to provide a threat and came home a poor second.

Trip Handicap and Speed'N'Class - 24th April 2012

Horse Racing TipsWatching the 'Trip Handicap' and 'Speed'n'Class selection Hallstatt (7-1) fail to get up in the 3:55 Wolverhampton was a painful experience yesterday. Having drawn alongside Kieran Fallon on Fade To Grey (green cap), it looked favourable for Michael O'Connoll on Hallstatt (red cap) to sweep on by. I am sure Hallstatt had at one stage headed the long time leader but as the televised viewing angle started to unwind Fade To Grey was grinding back the slim lead gained by O'Connoll to get up by a neck.

On The Money and The Actuary – 24th April 2012

Horse Racing Tips: 'On The Money' and 'The Actuary' selection Masai Moon, widely available at 11-2 earlier in the morning was the saving grace for subscribers yesterday. James Millman took up the running at halfway and sprinted clear to score by a comfortable 4 lengths to provide a 2 point profit overall for the day.

Horse Racing Tips: Star Performance

As most herald March as the end of the All Weather season you may have expected that a service entirely dedicated to All Weather racing would be going in to hibernation.

2012 fixtures looks to have broken the mould and this perception with no fewer than 112 All Weather fixtures between April and September which averages out at a little under 5 meetings a week!

Already in April we have accrued an additional 44.46 points profit and we are only two thirds in!

Beyond those opportunities landing in the inbox of subscribers each evening, there are other good betting opportunities on the All Weather that should not be missed if your intention is to make money.

I think it would be fair to say that The Actuary top rated horse in each race hold their own and consistently perform well unlike some other handicap rating services.

   100.8% * Hazzard County 101.3% 1ST 6-4
   100.6% * Abi Scarlet 102.5% 1ST 7-2

So it would not take much imagination to conclude how well a top rated, star selection would perform!

100.3% * Laugh Out Loud 100.4% 1ST 6-1
100.5% * Climaxfortackle 101.6%

If you were to add that the horse was also the top rating over course and distance

98.8% * Smarty Time 100.1%
100.3% * Howyadoingnotsobad 100.5% 1ST 2-1

Not only was it top rated over course and distance its course and distance rating was in excess of its last time out rating.

99.7% * Gorgeous Goblin 101.2% 1ST 7-2
101.3% * Stand Guard 102.1% 1ST 4-7

But surely a horse which is The Actuary top rated, has The Actuary ‘*’ against its name, has the top ‘Course and Distance’ rating which is in excess of its last time out is going to go off at prohibitive odds?

101.0% * Dark Castle 101.2% 1ST 2-1
98.5% * Daring Damsel 99.4% 1ST 14-1

Apparently not!

So far during April 12 there have been 10 qualifiers with 8 winning (those listed above), only ONE of the winners was odds-on. It may appear fortuitous that we have a 14-1 selection in the mix BUT history would suggest not!

Happy punting

Top Rated and Starred - 26th April 2012

Horse Racing Tips: The Actuary top rated and starred selection made easy work of these in Wolverhampton's 3:55.
Raul De Silva got a nice sit throughout alongside the lay of the day Aldedash in fourth and once asked to produce in a matter of strides put enough daylight between himself and the closers to score here for the fourth time. A victory which was expected by connections given the SP of 9-4 after opening at 4-1

Choral also The Actuary Speed and Class selection won cosily at 7-2 but the inconsistency of Avonrose was on show beating only 2 home.

The Actuary Horse Racing Tips top rated Rub Of The Relic made easy work of rivals in the 7:40 Southwell. Taking up the running 3 furlongs from home Barry McHugh came under pressure 2 furlongs out when pressed by Myraid who was unable to sustain the challenge and Rub Of The Relic maintained a length advantage inside the final furlong to score at 10-1
